Machu Pichu

“In the variety of its charms and the power if its spell, I know of no place in the world which can compare with it.” – Hiram Bingham

Thank you to Claudia at My Adventures Across The World for submitting this postcard! “As I first saw Machu Picchu laid in front of me from the Guardian of the Sun Gate, emotions took over, and tears started rolling down my cheeks. I had never seen anything so overwhelmingly beautiful. Hiking the Sacred Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was a lifelong dream, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Every day I would wake up to a spectacular view of the Andes, walk for miles, hike up hills, get completely breathless for the altitude and the incredible sceneries, visit otherwise unreachable archaeological sites along the way, eat under a tent with my group, and go to sleep tired and happy in a tent under a starry sky. The bond I created with the members of my group on the hike was so strong that I am still in touch with them, and I visited some of them around the world. I so loved it, that I am actually keen on taking on the challenge again!” – Claudia
